Two people could be facing charges after a suspected overdose patient was brought to Miami Valley Hospital and drugs were found in the vehicle that brought the patient to the facility, according to a Dayton police report.

Johnnie Esteep, 31, was summonsed to court on a drug charge.  The alleged driver, Christopher Koch, 19, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of falsification, obstructing official business and possession of drugs, according to records.

According to a police report, Koch drove Esteep to the hospital after the 31-year-old was overdosing in the backseat of the vehicle.  Police observed drugs in the backseat of the vehicle and also found a bag of drugs in Esteep’s pocket, the report showed.

Police said Koch lied when police asked him for his name, and gave his brother’s identity instead.

The incident was reported around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.
