Crews battle “suspicious” fire on Xenia Ave.

Firefighters had to work in the cold overnight to extinguish a suspicious garage fire.

Crews were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. to the 700 block of Xenia Avenue in Dayton to a fully engulfed fire in a detached garage. Officials believe this fire may have been burning for some time before a neighbor spotted the blaze according to Dayton Fire District Chief Rennes Bowers.
