The truck was discovered in the water Feb. 23 at the bridge, just west of U.S. 68. How the truck ended up in the water and its owner is under investigation by the village of South Charleston police.

A diver got into the river and used ropes to hook up the truck.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources also had a crew there, and the Springfield Police Division blocked the roadway at the bridge while crews worked and German Twp. police also were on hand.
Meanwhile, the pickup is secured at Maine’s facility.
