Cause of fire near Farmersville remains under investigation; Fire fighters treated for heat-related problems

UPDATE @ 1: 07 a.m.:

The cause of a fire in a single-story residence near Farmersville is currently unknown.

Initial investigation found that the fire affected the kitchen, dining room and attic area.

The smoke detectors in the residence were functional, and a resident was able to escape from the fire without injury.

Some fire fighters were treated for heat-related problems at the scene.

INITIAL REPORT:

Crews are searching for the cause of a house fire Monday night in the 400 block of Carolyn Drive near Farmersville.

The fire was reported about 11:30 p.m. There have been no reports of any injury.

We’re hearing the fire is under control.
