According to officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the woman was traveling on Route 444 where it bends to meet up with Springfield Street. The vehicle was moving too fast, officials said, and flipped over the guard rail, falling down an embankment and coming to rest on the train tracks.
The woman was able to get out of the vehicle and climb back up to Route 444 to ask for help.
While the woman was out of the vehicle, a train struck the vehicle, carrying it for some distance before coming to a stop.
The woman was transported to Soin Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Nobody in the train crew was injured in the collision.
OSP officials also said that there was no derailment of the train and no leaks of hazardous materials.
