Dayton man indicted on murder charges in April K-9 Club shooting

A Dayton man has been indicted in connected to the fatal shooting in April at the K-9 Club in Jefferson Twp., according to court records.

Alphonso Hughes Jr., 23, was indicted on charges of murder, felonious assault, and having weapons under disability, court records indicate.

Hughes is accused of shooting Bobby Avery, 67, of Dayton at the bar on Germantown Pike April 9.

Hughes is currently listed as an inmate in the Montgomery County Jail and was arrested on April 27. His arraignment in a Montgomery County court is scheduled for May 22.
