Dayton man who forced victim into a dog cage indicted on multiple charges

Demarco Wright, 20, has been indicted on multiple counts from an incident that occurred in Dayton on April 21-22,  Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. announced today.

Wright allegedly forced his friend into a dog cage after overpowering him and then demanded passwords and pin numbers for the victim's credit cards. Wright fled in the victim's car after sexually assaulting him in his home on Ashwood Ave.

The victim escaped the dog cage and dialed 9-1-1 from a neighbor's house.

Wright used the credit cards in Kentucky and Tennessee and was found in Fulton Co., Georgia after he crashed the victim's car in a police pursuit.

The Montgomery Co. grand jury indicted Wright on the following charges:

  • Two counts of Aggravated Burglary
  • Two counts of Aggravated Robbery
  • Three counts of Kidnapping
  • Two counts of Rape
  • Two counts of Felonious Assault
  • One count of Robbery
  • One count of Grand Theft of a motor vehicle
  • One count of Theft

Wright is currently being held at Fulton Co. Jail and will be extradited back to Ohio to face prosecution. His arraignment is scheduled for June 14 at 8:30 a.m.
