Dayton police working to confirm origin of shooting that leaves 1 wounded

UPDATE @ 11:09 p.m.: Police are working to learn whether a male was shot in a home on Wesleyan Road in Dayton, shot while in the car he arrived in or was shot at another location in the city and driven to the address.

Police said it’s still too early to even determine whether the victim was the driver or was driven to the address.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

INITIAL REPORT

Police are investigating a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Wesleyan Road in Dayton.

Dayton police and a fire medic unit were dispatched just before 9:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting.

The victim is said to have been shot in the leg, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.
