Deputies responded to the store located at 3969 Salem Avenue around 11:30 a.m. after an employee reported the attempt.
Dispatchers said the employee reported a man wearing a black sweatshirt and a mask entered the store and pointed a gun, before fleeing the area on foot.
It was not immediately known if the suspect made off with anything from the store.
A K9 officer from Trotwood was requested to attempt to track the suspect.
