The library plans to use the proceeds from the event to implement Phase 2 of the Children’s Room Makeover project to improve the functionality and aesthetics of its children’s libraries.
“We invite the entire community to celebrate this milestone with us,” said Kim Paras, library director.
“Not only will it be fun, but the proceeds go towards establishing an even better library for our youngest patrons.”
Dinner at the Trace will feature dinner, music, a silent auction of book-themed baskets and keynote speaker, Bob Danzig.
Danzig spent time in numerous foster homes as a child, and grew up to be CEO of the Hearst Newspaper Group and vice president of the Hearst Corp.
His personal journey has inspired him to share his insights on achievement through public speaking engagements and authoring several books, including his latest work, “Shakespeare Lives on Cape Cod,” which will be included with each Dinner at the Trace ticket.
To purchase tickets for Dinner at the Trace, visit the Centerville Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road, or Woodbourne Library, 6060 Far Hills Ave.
