3 English Honors students win teen fiction contest

SPRINGBORO — Three English honors students were named the top three winners in the 2009-2010 Dayton Metro Library’s Teen Fiction Contest.

Out of 114 total entries throughout the Miami Valley, Springboro students in Bridget Lewellen’s Honors English I took the top three spots. The winners were:

• First place — Nicolette Dahdah for “The Last of Pandora’s Box,”

• Second Place — Jennifer Kellner for “The Guardian Angel,”

• Third Place — Haley Gribler for “My Life Story.”

The contest runs from October to December and accepts entries from Montgomery and surrounding counties. The winners will have their short stories published and be honored at a March 20 reception at the main library branch.
