A 30-year-old Enon man was killed in a Wednesday morning crash involving two dump trucks.
Joshua T. Mowen was driving a dump truck east on Russia Versailles Road around 6 a.m. Wednesday when he struck the rear of a second dump truck stopped at a stop sign at the state Route 66 intersection that was driven by William D. Moore, 29, of Fletcher, according to preliminary investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
Mowen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The impact pushed Moore’s dump truck in to a utility pole, which snapped and brought down live wires. Moore was checked by EMS but declined treatment.
Both drivers worked for Hartzell Trucking of Houston, Ohio.
The crash remains under investigation.
