Fake Kinsley Kinner GoFundMe page sparks uproar

An apparent fake GoFundMe page set up by a Tennessee woman using the likeness of a 2-year-old Madison Twp. girl who died from her injuries last week has angered some local residents.

The unidentified Knoxville, Tenn., woman apparently took down the page after people from this area messaged her, demanding that no one take advantage of Kinsley Kinner’s death.

Kinsley died from injuries she allegedly suffered at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend, Bradley Young.

Young is charged with murder in connection to the toddler’s death and her mother, Rebekah Kinner, is charged with felony child abuse.

There is also apparently a Facebook page, that has since been deleted, set up by the same Knoxville woman with a photo of Kinsley that reads “Keep praying for my baby boy. He is doing better but needs all the prayers he can get.”

The woman responded to posts from other people on Facebook, claiming she was the victim of a hoax and that someone had sent her the photos, saying they’re of her adopted son who was injured in a car crash.

We are checking with Knoxville police to find out if the woman will be charged.
