Family-friendly show at Wright-Patt to feature comedians

A pair of comedians – one a juggler and one a prop comic – will bring lots of laughs to the audience attending the Russ Merlin & Ivan Pecel Night of Shenanigans Comedy Variety Tour Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Wright-Patterson Club, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Hosted by the 88th Force Support Squadron, the event is free to ID card holders and is family-friendly. Complimentary appetizers will be offered. A meet and greet will be held following the performance where audience members can have pictures taken and get autographs. Merchandise and memorabilia will be available for sale.

Both performers are known for high-energy hilarity.

Russ Merlin

Merlin, who calls himself a prop comic, is a “Tonight Show” alum who has been making people laugh in 51 countries on five continents. From New York’s Carnegie Hall to command performances for the Queen of England and the Sultan of Brunei, Merlin has used his unique talents on some of the most exotic stages on the planet. He was most proud to be the first American in 25 years to perform at the Water Festivals in Cambodia and Laos before 1 million people.

No stranger to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, Merlin has shared the stage with many celebrities, such as Bob Hope, Rod Stewart, Lou Rawls, Joan Rivers, Diahann Carroll and other international personalities.

He enjoys drawing people in with his unusual audience participation stunts.

Ivan Pecel

Pecel blends world-class juggling, audience participation and clean humor into his performances.

He entertains by juggling ping pong balls using only his mouth, and that’s just for starters. His original juggling routines combine everything from rolling a single ball around his face to actually juggling an audience member to some of the most intense technical juggling routines ever assembled.
