Casey’s General Store plans to build a new location in Huber Heights, according to city planning documents.
The new 4,685 square foot retail convenience store and gas station is planned for 6007 Old Troy Pike, according to the documents. The site is currently home to a Flowerama that will close in coming months, the store’s owner said.
Mayor Jeff Gore said he hopes the development will help spark additional investment in southern Huber Heights.
“I’m glad to see another nice facility, a nice structure, a gas station being built in that part of town toward the southern end,” Gore said. “That shows there is good investment opportunity for businesses in the southern end of town.”
The plans, which were discussed at a recent city council work session, still need to be approved by council.
