Fazoli’s, non-profits partner to feed 400 local families in No Hunger Holidays

For the fourth consecutive year, Fazoli's, Feed the Children and the Miami Valley Community Action Partnership partnered together to feed 400 local families with the No Hunger Holidays event.

Pre-identified by The Miami Valley Community Action Partnership based on need, each family was given items such as canned vegetables, peanut butter, mac and cheese and personal hygiene products.

"We believe that no child should go to bed hungry, especially during a time full of warmth, love and sharing," said Feed the Children president and CEO Travis Arnold. "But the reality is, millions of children in our own backyard face this hardship every day. Thanks to generous partners like Fazoli's, we are able to help these families rest a little easier knowing they don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from this holiday season."

The families gathered at Welcome Stadium Wednesday afternoon and received a 25-pound box of nonperishable food, a 15-pound box of essential hygiene products, a box of Avon products as well as additional items.

Each family was also given a ham donated by Smithfield Foods.

"We are honored to work with Feed the Children again this year to help make sure that Dayton families are celebrating Thanksgiving with a full stomach," said Fazoli's CEO Carl Howard. "These boxes are full of essentials like food and personal care items that will go a long way in helping these families that are struggling. We love giving back to the local communities that support us. I grew up in this city, so I hold Dayton close to my heart. Being able to help these families is so important to everyone here at Fazoli's."
