Severe weather in the southeast this week delayed some shipments that were originally scheduled to arrive on doorsteps on Christmas Eve and FedEx has opened some local locations today to allow people to pick-up packages.

According to CNN, a Fed-Ex official said some of its employees have volunteered to work on Christmas to deliver delayed packages to customers.

“FedEx is doing everything possible to get customer shipments delivered by Christmas in spite of slight delays due to heavier than planned last-minute shipment volumes and severe weather outbreaks in some areas of the U.S.,” FedEx spokeswoman Rae Lyn Rushing said in a statement to the news agency.

The FedEx website showed the company’s locations in Miamisburg and Vandalia will be open until 1 p.m. today for people to pick up delayed packages.

Here are the locations for the local offices open until 1 p.m.:

3605 Concorde Drive

Vandalia, OH 4537

2578 Corporate Place

Miamisburg, OH 45342
