Fire destroys detached garage in Dayton

A detached garage was destroyed by fire Monday evening in Dayton.

The garage was engulfed in flames when crews responded shortly before 6:30 p.m. to the garage on South Garland Avenue near Burkhardt Avenue.

A News Center 7 videographer said the roof was gone following the fire and the garage a total loss.

Dayton fire crews on scene requested a fire investigator to help determine the cause.
