Florida man executed for deaths of Van Wert County woman and daughters

STARKE,  Fla --A Florida man has been executed in Florida for the murders of a Van Wert County mother and her two teenage daughters.  Oba Chandler received a lethal injection shortly before 4:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Florida State Prison.  Chandler was convicted in 1994 in connection with the deaths of Joan Rogers and her daughters Christe and Michelle.  They lived in Willshire, Ohio on a dairy farm.  Rogers and her daughters were vacationing in Florida when they were killed.  Chandler was born and raised in Cincinnati.
