Former Germantown soccer coach, Justin Smith, indicted on 41 new counts, including child porn

>> Fugitive ex-soccer coach Justin Smith back in Montgomery County Jail

Smith now faces 28 counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, six counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material, one count of vandalism, one count of theft, one count of obstructing official business and one count of failure to appear on own recognizance, prosecutors said.

In October, Smith reportedly cut off his ankle bracelet and fled Montgomery County during his trial for several sex offenses he committed with an underage minor.

Smith was arrested Dec. 14 in Okaloosa County, Florida, when deputies said he was trying to meet a woman he met on an online dating website.

When Smith was initially arrested in May, his phone was taken as evidence and a search warrant was unable to be served on the phone until the passcode was cracked, prosecutors said.

In November, detectives were able to search the phone.

“That search uncovered child pornography and explicit videos of the defendant that he sent to a minor,” the prosecutors office said in a prepared statement.

Smith is expected to be arraigned on Jan. 3 for the new charges and also is scheduled to be sentenced in the case he was convicted for during his October trial.
