Fortis College in Centerville is celebrating National Nurses Week, May 6-12, with a “Scrub Drive.”
The campus, 555 E. Alex Bell Road, will be accepting new and gently used scrubs all week that will be donated to the Dayton YWCA.
Students also will partake in activities throughout the week that include a raffle, photo booth and lecture.
National Nurses Week recognizes the profession’s impact on healthcare and honors the contributions made.
“This is an ideal time to recognize the compassion and selflessness of our country’s nurses,” said Grey Shields, Fortis College Centerville campus president. “These professional dedicate their lives to the service and well-being of others. It is our responsibility to demonstrate the same commitment to improving the health of our communities and preparing the next generation of nurses.”
