FREE: Get rid of your old furniture, tires and more in Riverside


Riverside’s Community Clean Up Day is scheduled for June 9.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Center of Flight, the open area off Springfield Street across from the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

Riverside residents can dispose of unwanted household items such as trash, furniture, tires, mattresses, and unwanted or expired pharmaceutical products, according to the city.

Event organizers will be on hand to assist with unloading items from vehicles, according to the city.

CRIME: Secret Service investigating Riverside computer attack

Residents are asked to bring proof of residency, such as an ID, drivers license, utility bill, or another form of identification showing Riverside residency, according to the city.

The event is sponsored by the city of Riverside Planning and Program Management Department with support from the Montgomery County Environmental Crimes Task Force and Keep Montgomery County Beautiful.
