In its seventh year, the event is held in different locations as one way to help educate area residents of the clinic and its work, said Justin Coby, Health Partners executive director.
The gala was expanded last year to include the Piqua Arts Council with an art auction. That event will continue this year with an expanded number of art pieces donated by local artists for live and silent auctions.
The funds raised by the event help offset the costs of operating the clinic, which is located along County Road 25A between Troy and Piqua. Last year’s gala generated $17,000 in net donations.
“As a free clinic we depend on this kind of generosity to keep our doors open,” Coby said. “The outpouring of love and support is a testament to the call from the community to continue with our mission of providing quality healthcare to the uninsured and under-insured at no cost.”
The clinic in 2014 treated 1,137 individual patients for 4,263 medical visits. The clinic provided 3,037 patient lab/diagnosis and 13,730 clinic dispensed free prescriptions
Sponsors are being sought for the event. Anyone with questions about the gala or interested in a sponsorship should contact Coby by email at justin@healthpartnersclinic.org or call 937-332-0894.
