Greene County appoints new environmental health director

Greene County Public Health has appointed a new environmental health director.

Jeff Webb, a resident of Fairborn, has been appointed to the position after serving as the health commissioner of the Champaign County Health District.

He worked for that district for 10 years, two years of which he served as commissioner. He has worked in public health for more than 30 years.

Environmental health works to prevent or reduce environmental hazards with programs that prevent disease or injury associated with water, food, sewage, plumbing, animals, and infectious and solid wastes.
