Sheriff: Man ends up in hospital after he’s shot during an argument

UPDATE @ 10:30 p.m.: One man was shot in his left leg during an argument with another man in Harrison Twp. and deputies are looking for the gunman.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Siebenthaler Dental Center, 545 W. Siebenthaler Ave., where deputies were dispatched just before 6 p.m. on a report of a shooting, Montgomery County sheriff's Sgt. J. Whittaker said in a prepared statement.

While securing that location, deputies learned the victim had been taken by private conveyance to Good Samaritan Hospital. Deputies interviewed the victim there.

Both men are familiar with each other, according to the statement.

The statement yields no details about either man's age or address, or what kind of gun was used.

The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff's Special Investigation Unit.

UPDATE @ 6:45 p.m.: 

Deputies have used crime scene tape to mark an area in the 500 block of West Siebenthaler Avenue, stemming from the reported shooting.

The scene is the parking lot of the West Siebenthaler Dental Center. Montgomery County sheriff's deputies are continuing the investigation.

UPDATE @ 6:35 p.m.:

Police have placed crime scene tape around a pickup truck used to deliver a gunshot victim to Good Samaritan Hospital.

We’re seeing a crowd of people gathered near the entrance to the emergency room.

Police are investigating a report of a shooting in the area of West Siebenthaler Avenue and Catalpa Drive in the Dayton/Harrison Twp. area.

We're hearing the victim is believed to have been taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by private conveyance. The victim's condition is not known.

Police were dispatched just after 6 p.m. on the report of a shooting.
