Judge Leslie Ghiz denied a motion for acquittal from Tensing's attorney, but granted a dismissal of the charges with prejudice, meaning the state of Ohio cannot file the same charges against Tensing a third time, our news partners WCPO-TV in Cincinnati report.
Tensing shot and killed Samuel DuBose during a traffic stop in July 2015. After two trials, juries in both trials were unable to reach a unanimous verdict to convict Tensing on charges of murder and voluntary manslaughter.
