The new company will be located at Monroe Mechanical off Ohio 63 at 225 American Way, and will offer more than traditional heating and air conditioning. The company plans to take a whole-house approach to help customers save money through cost-savings energy audits and energy-saving windows, insulation, water-saving plumbing fixtures, and the application of solar technologies, said company officials.
Monroe Mechanical offers commercial heating and cooling, energy audit services, refrigeration, plumbing, metal work, and design build, specializing in green technology.
Chris Jones, 39, of Mason, who will serve as general manager of Housh — The Home Energy Experts, said Housh will unofficially share employees right now with Monroe Mechanical.
“We’re growing in numbers due to the added services that we have. Essentially, what we have done is taken the residential division of Monroe Mechanical and expanded the service offerings,” he said.
“In the past, we’ve certainly been experts in the heating, cooling and water heaters, basically plumbing portion of it, but now our focus is for a homeowner. We’ll look at your entire house from A-Z, whatever we can do to lower your energy bill, we’ll do. So that really starts at really evaluating the home with regards to the home energy audits.”
Monroe Mechanical’s customer-base currently consists mainly of the Cincinnati-Dayton corridor, Jones said. However, he said, Housh plans to expand its customer base.
“We really go all over. From the standpoint of Monroe Mechanical has historically installed numerous geo-thermal systems. Typically, in the past geo-thermal has been more on a rural type of property. Now in the past three or four years, that is not the case,” Jones said.
