Hospice of Miami County offering new support group

Hospice of Miami County will offer a new support group to provide training, ideas, tips and encouragement for anyone who provides care for a loved one. The Caregiver Connection group is open to all caregivers. It will hold its first meeting at 2 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center on West Main Street.

A second January meeting date is scheduled Jan. 23 at 2 and 7 p.m.

The group is designed to offer caregivers a chance to talk with other caregivers and learn how to handle challenges of caring for another person’s need. It also is intended to be a safe place to ask questions and talk openly about challenges caregivers face in an encouraging and confidential setting.
