Some homeowners may have two or three separate parcels affiliated with their property. To get the accurate levy figure, those people would need to add up the total from each parcel. For those with a property in a Residential Incentive District (RID), a new feature was added to the site at the bottom of the parcel file showing their total value. This combined value includes the special assessment portion of the RID, and is now included in the total levy estimates.
In an effort to help property owners understand the impact of proposed levies on their tax bills, Butler County Auditor Roger Reynolds has placed a levy calculator link on the butlercountyauditor.org website. The calculator will provide homeowners with an estimate of how much each levy on the Nov. 6 ballot will cost in property taxes.
The link to the levy calculator is: http://propertysearch.butlercountyohio.org/butler/search/commonsearch.aspx?mode=owner
