Power restored to almost all DP&L customers after overnight outage

UPDATE @ 6:20 a.m.:

As of 6:15 a.m., almost all of the customers involved in the outages overnight have power again, with only 11 total outages are noted on the DP&L outage map.

Of these, seven are in Montgomery County, and the remaining four are in Greene County.

UPDATE @ 1:07 a.m.:

As of 1 a.m., a little over 700 DP&L customers are still without power, the majority of which are in the Kettering area, according to the DP&L outage map.

The largest outage was reported at 7:35 p.m.

Just under 700 of these powerless customers were in Montgomery County, with a small number also in Greene County.

Restoration time was reported as 1 a.m. for the largest outage.

INITIAL REPORT:

Several hundred Dayton Power & Light customers were in the dark Friday night in the Kettering area after a pop-up storm moved through the area.

The outages were first reported sometime before 8 p.m.

As of 11 p.m., there were nearly 800 customers without power in Montgomery County, with an additional handful in Greene and Preble counties.

Restoration time was reported at midnight for the largest outage in Montgomery County.
