Ice rescue training underway for Dayton fire crews

Cold temperatures last week limited Dayton fire crews to classroom training on ice rescues, however Monday they conducted realistic training scenarios at Eastwood Lake.

“Ice rescue is not something that any fire department does on a frequent basis,” said Dayton District Fire Chief Adam Landis.  Landis said that’s why this week’s training is so important.
