The Darke County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident involving an ATV on Thursday evening that sent its driver to a hospital.
Jacob Clifton, 26, was not wearing a helmet when his Honda 4-wheeler hit a pickup truck being driven along side a barn on private property in the 4100 block of Clarks Station Road.
Grant Bussey, 21, of New Madison, who was driving the Ford F-250 along side the barn, was not injured in the collision that occurred about 6:15 p.m.
Clifton was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown, according to the sheriff's office.
