Emad Tuama of West Carrollton has worked at other restaurants, but “Catfish Fish and Chicken” at 6020 Old Troy Pike will be his first solo venture, Tuama said in a phone interview.

The restaurant will have a seating capacity of about 30 and will serve a variety of fried fish, chicken and vegetables, including shrimp, catfish, wings, okra, mushrooms and cauliflower, Tuama said.

If all goes well, the new restaurant could open in the next four to six weeks, the restaurant’s founder said. It will employ five or six people and will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Farther north on Old Troy Pike, near I-70, two other restaurants are in the works: Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and Starbucks.
