Thai 9, the Oregon District restaurant in its 17th year of operation, will shut down for a few days for renovations that will include a new roof and a new floor in its kitchen, according to co-owner Rob Strong.

The tentative schedule calls for the restaurant at 11 Brown St. to shut down Sunday, April 28, and resume normal operating hours starting on Wednesday, May 1, Strong said.

There is some uncertainty in that schedule, however, since the roof renovation cannot be done in the rain, Thai 9’s co-owner said.
