Kettering church to undergo $4.6 million renovation

KETTERING - Christ United Methodist Church is expected to begin a $4.6 million renovation and remodeling on Monday, Nov. 9.

By next August, most of the building at 3440 Shroyer Road in Kettering will be renovated.

Part of the building, built in the 1950s, will be remodeled to provide more space for providing food and clothing to needy members of the community.

“Were pretty much tripling the size of that area to serve the surrounding community,” Business Manager Mark Fellows said.

The renovations will begin on the south end of the building, including the traditional sanctuary and office and meeting spaces.

Church offices have already been moved to the basement. All worship services will be held in the activity center until the sanctuary has been renovated.
