Lebanon fragrance manufacturer receives state job credits

LEBANON — A Lebanon manufacturer has been given more than $100,000 in job tax credits by the state for its efforts in creating jobs, according to Ohio officials.

Mane, a fragrance and flavor manufacturer, was given a seven-year, 50 percent job creation tax credit from the state’s Department of Development, according to a release. The value of the tax credit is estimated to be $154, 519 over the course of the seven years.

Mane is located off of Fujitec Drive on Mane Way in the southern part of Lebanon. The company began moving to Lebanon in 2007 and began the second phase of its construction in 2009.

Mane is in the process of constructing a multi-building North American headquarters in Lebanon, including a 100,00-square-foot production facility and 40,000 square-foot officer and research building. The project, estimated to cost more than $17 million, is expected to create 30 jobs and retain 65 positions according to state officials.

By accepting the credit, Mane is required to maintain operations in Lebanon for at least 10 years.

Officials from Mane did not return requests for comment.
