Local charity group Moms 4 Miracles held its 9th annual fund-raising golf outing today at Yankee Trace golf course, benefiting Dayton Children’s Hospital.
This year, the group honored Wayne High School student Hannah Free and her fight with a rare ovarian cancer. The group will pay for some of her medical fees and present her with other surprise gifts during the event.
Moms 4 Miracles also pledged to donate $10,000 to the fertility preservation program and to donate another $10,000 over the next two years to buy supplies for the new Child Health Pavilion demonstration kitchen.
Proceeds from the event will go to Dayton Children’s Hospital and pay for new iPads to entertain cancer patients. Past events raised funds for Dayton Children’s to help pay medicals bills, build a new chemotherapy room and buy games and movie theater.
