Loose monkey tip a bust, police say

Cincinnati news outlets reported today a monkey was on the loose near the Cincinnati Museum Center.

The monkey was thought to have gotten loose when a Ringling Bros. train passed through the station.

According to Local12, the train was stopped near Hopple street and searched by police. The engineer of the train told them it was not carrying monkeys, only elephants and a few other animals.

Reports indicated the monkey was last seen near Dalton Avenue.

On Friday, a lion was reported seen wandering in Franklin. The man who saw it in his yard told police it was relaxing before wandering down the road.

The lion was not found, police said.
