Lots of vehicle accidents blamed on the snow and wintry mix that hit region

The winter storm that dropped accumulating snow and icy rain throughout the Dayton region on Wednesday night was being blamed for slide-offs, fender-benders and other vehicle accidents.

Here are some of the accidents believed to be attributed to roads made slick by the ice and snow:

9:16 p.m. - 2300 block of South Dayton-Lakeview Road in New Carlisle, a vehicle reportedly in a ditch

9:12 p.m. - 79,000 block of East National Road (U.S. 40) in South Vienna, Clark County, a pickup truck and trailer reportedly slid off the road and into a ditch

9:06 p.m. - I-75 North in the area of Benchwood Road in Vandalia, a vehicle reportedly slid into a wall

7:19 p.m. - Beatrice Drive and Old Troy Pike in Huber Heights

7:13 p.m. - I-675 North on-ramp at Miamisburg Centerville Road in Centerville, a crash blamed on slick roads

7:11 p.m. - South Diamond Mill and Manning roads in New Lebanon, Montgomery County

7:00 p.m. - I -70 in Huber Heights, a car into a wall
