"Luke Perry has died, and our family is heartbroken. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio, delivered by Sherrod's father, Dr. Charles Brown, she wrote on Facebook. "When Sherrod first ran for the Senate in 2006, Luke came to Ohio and campaigned with him. He was funny, smart and kind. At the height of his fame, he was still an Ohio boy, so gracious with every fan.
Very saddened by this loss. Luke Perry was not only a talented actor—but a warm, kind person who made his home state proud. My thoughts are with his friends, family, and loved ones. https://t.co/MuSHhLsWOA— Sherrod Brown (@SherrodBrown) March 4, 2019
