Mad River Mountain has started making snow as temperatures have fallen below freezing, however an opening day for the 2017-2018 season at the ski slopes has not been announced.
The snow making started around 2 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to continue through at least Friday, according to Mad River Mountain.
This year will be the 56th season for the ski hill.
