Man arrested after pointing revolver at son

Dayton police arrested a man on Saturday night after he pointed a loaded gun at his son during an argument.

David R. Sohn, 48, of Dayton, faces a potential domestic violence charge after witnesses saw him pointing the .38 caliber revolver at David J. Sohn, 21.

At 7:47 p.m., officers reported to the 300 block of Clover Street on reports of an incident involving a gun.

The younger Sohn told police the two were discussing payment for a tool box when his father became "very angry" and started arguing with him. That's when the elder Sohn apparently grabbed a loaded revolver, pointed it at him and followed him outside as he left.

Other family members that were present said several children were inside the home when the incident happened. Police say David J. Sohn did not fill out a domestic violence packet against his father.

David R. Sohn was booked into Montgomery County Jail.
