Memorial Day Weekend forecast: Highs in the 80s, but showers, storms possible

It will be warm with temperatures in the 80s, but humid and wet at times with the chance for showers and thunderstorms the entire Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Skies are partly cloudy with patchy fog this morning, followed by a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with highs around 80 degrees, the National Weather Service in Wilmington reported.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of showers after midnight with lows in the mid-60s.

It will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers Sunday morning, then a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. It will be humid with highs in the middle 80s.

Sunday night, it will be muggy with partly cloudy skies and a slight chance of evening showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the mid-60s.

Memorial Day will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s.
