There are 90 single women at the shelter in need of new socks and underwear, and MVCAP is accepting donations, according to the release.

“St. Vincent de Paul has always been, and continues to be, an extremely important partner in the war on poverty in our area,” MVCAP President and CEO Cherish Cronmiller said in the release.

Donations can be dropped off at American Red Cross building in Xenia, located at 1080 E. Main St., or at these MVCAP locations:

719 S. Main St., Dayton

308 Eaton Lewisburg Rd., Eaton

1469 Sweitzer St., Greenville

3155 Elbee Rd., Moraine

“As it is part of our agency's mission to work in partnership with like-minded nonprofits, we will do all we can to assist in their time of need,” Cronmiller said.

Miami Valley Community Action Partnership is a private community action agency, committed to eliminating the causes and conditions of poverty and promoting self-sufficiency by providing programs and services in the Miami Valley, according to the release.
