Montgomery County offers summer jobs for low-income youth

DAYTON — Teenagers looking for jobs in a summer employment program for low-income youth must apply by the deadline of Friday, April 8, the Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services said.

The department’s Summer Youth Works Program offers on-the-job training for jobs at stores and other businesses, hospitals, nonprofit organizations and government agencies, said Lucious Plant, workforce development administrator.

The program is open to youth from ages 14 to 17, subject to income eligibility requirements for participation, officials said.
