Power has been restored to most after more than 1,500 customers lost power Monday across the region as temperatures reached the mid-90s.

The high for Monday reached 95 degrees in Dayton, according to the National Weather Service, with the high temperature and humidity creating a large draw on power.

Dayton Power & Light, Ohio Edison and Duke Energy combined reported 1,548 outages in the Miami Valley, with the highest number — 796 — in Clark County, as of 6:20 p.m.

That number was reduced to around 40, with 15 outages each in Clark and Montgomery counties, as of 9:15 p.m., according to the utility websites.
