Motorcyclist ejected, hospitalized after crash in Clark County

Excessive speed is believed to be a factor in a Clark County motorcycle crash that injured the operator, according to state troopers.

Medics and troopers were dispatched to the area of New Carlisle Pike near Folk Ream Road around 1:20 p.m. Monday on reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Investigators said the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike after crashing into a mailbox, guardrail, and fence.

The motorcyclist, only identified as a man, was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not known but state troopers said he was alert.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, investigators said.
