Several officers and emergency units were dispatched to Ohio 725 under I-75 around 4:30 p.m., according to initial reports.

Police caught up with the at-fault vehicle on a hill on Ohio 725, east of the accident scene. The thinking is that vehicle hit others in its path because the driver lost the ability to stop, police said.

A Miami Valley Fire District battalion chief tells us a child and two adults have been taken to hospitals. None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening, the fire official said.

Eastbound Ohio 725 remained closed near Byers Road for a time to allow several tow trucks to clear the scene. Some drivers were able to move their vehicles off the roadway.
