A familiar face was spotted volunteering Wednesday night at One Bistro in Xenia.
News Center 7’s Gabrielle Enright was busing tables and helping servers at the restaurant, 87 E. Main St., to highlight National Everybody Eats Week.
Food insecurity affects more than 40 million people in the United States; one in eight households have difficulty providing enough food for their family, according to One World Everybody Eats.
One Bistro, a faith-based nonprofit, serves a healthy meal to its neighbors on a “pay what you can afford” basis.
Menu prices at One Bistro are suggested. Some patrons pay more, others the suggested price, and others unable to pay the full amount can volunteer.
