Obama campaign office to open in Springboro

The Barack Obama presidential re-election campaign will open a second office in Warren County Thursday evening.

Campaigners for Obama will have an official opening at its new Springboro Field Office at 843 W. Central Ave. The opening will take place at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

The Obama campaign opened an office in Mason last month at 108 W. Main St.

Ohio is considered to be a crucial battleground state in winning the 2012 presidential election. Even though Warren County is heavily Republican, Democratic leaders are looking to secure as many votes as possible for Obama to off set those votes. A campaign office for the presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney is operating out of the Warren County Republican Headquarters in Lebanon.
